What is Craniosacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is a powerful, yet gentle light touch therapy. A dysfunction in the CranioSacral system can affect neurological, motor, or sensory function. This non-invasive approach of releasing restrictions allows the body to heal itself, thereby improving overall function. CranioSacral Therapy has also been shown to reduce pain and improve overall health.

General Information

Session Length

A session is typically 50 minutes.

Initial evaluations are completed during the first session. This is an extended session (lasting approximately 60 minutes in office). 


Intensives

Therapy intensives are 1-2 weeks of multiple therapy sessions per day. These intensive sessions are a powerful way to quickly make changes. These intensives can be very beneficial to promote health for those with chronic conditions, be a way to achieve new milestones for those with special needs, or be a healing “therapy retreat”.

To receive “intensive therapy” pricing a minimum of 12 sessions per week are required.


Fees

$140 for initial appointment/evaluation

$105 per follow up session

Bundles of 5 prepaid sessions available for $500

Intensives are $95 per session scheduled (12 or more must be scheduled within a single week for this pricing). A 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is required upon scheduling


Biography

 
Allison Kennelly
 

Allison Kennelly, M.S. CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and CranioSacral Therapist. She started her journey to this practice by earning her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University in December 2007. Thereafter, she attended Arizona State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2010.  In 2011, Allison earned her certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ASHA). She has extensive experience working with all age groups, i.e. early intervention therapy for infants/toddlers, school-aged children, and adult patients in acute hospital settings and neurological rehab. 

After receiving CranioSacral Therapy to rectify some health issues of her own, Allison began taking CranioSacral classes through the Upledger Institute. She has completed Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy 1, CranioSacral Therapy 2, SomatoEmotional Release 1, SomatoEmotional Release 2, CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics 1, and CranioSacral Intensive. Allison is a teaching assistant through the Upledger Institute. Over the last several years Allison has found her practice shifting away from traditional speech therapy and moving towards CranioSacral Therapy. Allison and her patients continue to be amazed by the profound changes that have occurred due to CranioSacral Therapy.
